The headboard features three built-in compartments for stashing bedside essentials, like an alarm clock, bedside reading, and eyeglasses, or other decorative touches such as framed photographs. In the center compartment, an adjustable shelf enables the user to divide the space to better organize and display smaller items. The flat, profiled MDF top further extends the headboard’s storage space with its 11-inch deep surface. The headboard is crafted out of composite wood and Melamine laminate. Prepac offers a matching storage platform bed frame and other complementary espresso-finished bedroom pieces. Shipped flat with foam injection packaging, the headboard comes with all necessary hardware for adult assembly. To clean the headboard, wipe with a damp cloth. Take care not to spill drinks on the MDF as it is not waterproof and will disintegrate if exposed to excess moisture. Likewise, use a coaster if setting a beverage in one of the storage compartments. Do not finish or varnish the headboard as it already has a laminate finish. For faulty parts, consumers benefit from a one-year, free part replacement program.
